Shinhan Finance contributes children books to Bac Giang province library

Ho Chi Minh City, 18/10/2019 – Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd., (Shinhan Finance), which was recognized as The Best Consumer Finance Company For Customer Service in the country 2018*, announced its book project which contributed extra 3,000 new children books to Bac Giang province’s public libraries, which are in need of more good-quality books for the local children.

Now at its second year encouraging active reading for children under the theme “Fulfil Your Dreams And Happiness”, Shinhan Finance has donated 22 new book shelves to 3 provincial libraries in need of more books for their local children.

To date, the Project has been to 3 libraries across Vietnam, donated 22 new book shelves with more than 6,000 books and decorated 3 reading rooms. The rollout included Nam Dinh, Thua Thien Hue and Bac Giang public libraries.

In the second year of this project themed “Fulfil Your Dreams And Happiness”, which is extended to promote active reading among Vietnamese children, It continues to support the company’s commitment to advocate literacy and a reading culture to better equip the future generation.

In Vietnam, children are keen to read text books for academic reasons than reading books outside the school syllabus. The importance of enhancing the accessibility of books in the public libraries and providing a variety of contents are often highlighted to promote active reading as a powerful tool to encourage children to pick up and finish a book themselves.

After Nam Dinh and Thua Thien Hue, Bac Giang is the third province we invested in more good books for Vietnamese children. We are still on the way to bring this up at national scope.”

On these two occassions, Shinhan Finance received the Certificate of Appreciation by the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, Bac Giang province, No. 507/QĐ-SVHTTDL issued on 05/9/2019, for the company’s support to local Culture, Sport and Tourism and Bac Giang public library as well.

To better support the local business, we have recently launched our business in Bac Giang province, marking further growth for the brand in the northern region. Shinhan Finance had begun recruiting local talent to prepare for the opening of its service introduction point (S.I.P.). The new S.I.P. located at 57 Quang Trung, Bac Giang City will be able to better serve the evolving needs of its valued customers in the North of Vietnam.
