Shinhan Finance introduces new General Director, Mr. Chun Young ILL

Ho Chi Minh City, 01/03/2024 – Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd. (“Shinhan Finance”) announces the appointment of Mr. Chun Young ILL as General Director, effective from 21/02/2024, and is subject to the approval of the State Bank of Vietnam No. 1120/NHNN-TTGSNH, issued on 15/02/ 2024 and its mother company Shinhan Card (Korea).

Mr. Chun Young ILL has over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to being appointed as General Director of Shinhan Vietnam Finance, he was the General Director at Shinhan Finance in Kazakhstan over 5 years. He held many managerial positions in different departments at Shinhan Card such as Senior Manager at Human Resources Development, Deputy General Manager at Global Business Department. In addition, he was the Director of Card Business Department at Shinhan Bank Vietnam from 2014 to 2017.

He graduated from Seoul National University, which is the best University in South Korea, and studied the MBA from the University of Cumbria in United Kingdom.

Hopefully, with deeply management and leadership experience in banking and finance in global markets, Mr. Chun Young ILL will make positive contributions to Shinhan Finance and to the consumer finance field in Vietnam soon.
