Warning about fraudulent activities, impersonation of employees, and Shinhan Finance brand

Currently, numerous malicious individuals are impersonating Shinhan Finance employees and the brand to carry out various forms of fraud through different means and methods. Therefore, the company advises customers to be vigilant against the following common scam tactics.

Impersonation of employees to obtain customer information

Fraudsters falsely claim to be Shinhan Finance employees and contact customers via phone calls, text messages, social media, etc., offering loan invitations. Subsequently, these individuals collect information from ID cards, Citizen Identification Cards, bank account numbers, OTP codes, etc., to engage in illegal activities, causing damage to users' reputation and assets.

Falsifying company communication channels

Perpetrators manipulate domain names by adding Shinhan Finance or SVFC brand names as keywords such as "tài chính" "cho vay" "tín dụng" to counterfeit the company's communication channels (hotlines, Facebook, Zalo OA, etc.). They then contact customers to obtain information or deceive them into paying fees.

Sending fake links to steal information

Through text messages, many impersonators claiming to be from Shinhan Finance send fake notifications about suspicious accesses or transactions and request customers to click on links to check, thereby stealing personal information.

Counterfeiting company publications and documents

Many individuals counterfeit Shinhan Finance's publications and transaction documents such as Tariffs, Contracts, with the company's brand name, sending them to customers and requesting fees to be paid to attached accounts.

Apart from these mentioned scam tactics, there are various other forms of impersonation. Therefore, Shinhan Finance advises customers to remain vigilant. Upon detecting fraudulent activities or experiencing asset losses or information theft, customers should immediately contact the relevant state authorities to report and seek resolution.
