Shinhan Finance organized a Blood Donation Day for the community in 2024 at HCM City

(Ho Chi Minh City, April 25th, 2024) Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Limited (Shinhan Finance), in coordination with the Labor Union of District 1, organized a Blood Donation at the District 1 Cultural Center (No. 06 Mac Dinh Chi Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The event attracted the participation of many Shinhan Finance members, who contributed 18,200 ml of blood to patients in need and supplemented the blood reserves of hospitals in this city.

According to the Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Ho Chi Minh City, in 2024, the city aims to receive more than 250,000 voluntary blood donors, ensuring the demand for emergency and treatment blood supply for over 150 hospitals. In response to the messages from the Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Ho Chi Minh City, the Community Program of District 1 Labor Union, and Shinhan Finance have chosen Ho Chi Minh City as the starting point for blood donation activities in 2024. As per the plan from now until the end of the year, Shinhan Finance will continue to organize additional blood donation drives in many provinces and cities in the North and Central regions.

Blood Donation has long been an annual activity carried out by Shinhan Finance. 2024 marks the 5th year that Shinhan Finance has cooperated with associations and agencies to Blood Donation Program. Through these initiatives, Shinhan Finance members have donated approximately 847 units of blood (equivalent to 228,800 ml) to patients undergoing treatment at local hospitals. Shinhan Finance hopes that those bloods donated by SVFC’s members, and their relatives will contribute to alleviating the shortage of blood reserves in hospitals, thereby supporting the medical team in saving lives and bringing optimism and hope to patients and their families.

In addition to the Blood Donation activities, recently, Shinhan Finance has also collaborated to organize the program "Illuminate Dreams - Give Hope" at the Long Tho Disability Child-rearing Center (393 Bui Thi Xuan, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province) and the "Share Love, Illuminate the Essence of Education" event at Do The Chap Primary School (Bich Ngo hamlet, Tam Xuan 2 commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province). Accordingly, representatives from Shinhan Finance's Central region visited, encouraged, and distributed 140 gift packages to the children being nurtured and educated at 2 locations. This special community activity is part of the "Let's do Good 2024" campaign initiated by Shinhan Finance and will continue to be implemented in many localities nationwide soon.
