RECOMMENDATIONS HOW TO USE YOUR CARD SAFELY

Dear Valued Customers,

Recently, fraud issues, impersonation of authorities, bank employees or credit institution employees to misappropriate assets has occurred more and more in many sophisticated forms such as:

  • Fraudsters call customers to advise on card withdrawal services, credit limit upgrades and some other services.
  • Require customers to scan QR codes, take photos of ID cards, provide card information/ card image/ OTP codes or access fake links to steal card/ personal information in order to misappropriate assets.

NOT PROVIDING CUSTOMER INFORMATIONS OUTSIDE SHINHAN FINANCE

Shinhan Finance's information will be publicly communicated on official media such as:

SHINHAN FINANCE RECOMMENDS TO CUSTOMERS:

  • DO NOT take pictures of faces, ID cards, scan QR codes or access unknown links, unofficial links of Shinhan Finance.
  • DO NOT provide card information such as: full card numbers (16 digits), CVC code, OTP code, PIN code, login account or login password on iShinhan application to anyone, including employees of Shinhan Finance.
  • DO NOT let others borrow your card, do not save card information on your phone or any devices.
  • DO NOT share card or personal information on social networks to avoid people with bad intention taking advantage of your information and misappropriating assets.
  • In case of suspicion of information disclosure or signs of fraud, Customers can block the card immediately on the iShinhan application or contact Hotline 1900545449 (Press number 3 and then press number 0).

Note: To coordinate with Shinhan Finance to investigate, please save the phone number, contact person's name, department, request content from the scammer.
