In order to comply with Circular No. 18/2024/TT – NHNN of the State Bank of Vietnam on implementing safe and secure solutions in online card payments, please follow the instructions as below:
- If the Personal Document registered with Shinhan Finance is an Identity Card (ID card) or Non-chip Citizen Identification Card: Bring the latest chip-based ID card to Shinhan Finance Branches or Service Introduction Points (SIP) to update the latest chip-based ID card and register biometrical information.
- If the Personal Document registered with Shinhan Finance is a chip-based ID card or not expired but has not registered biometrical information: Bring the latest chip-based ID card/ Personal documents to Shinhan Finance Branches or Service Introduction Points (SIP) to register biometrical information.
- If the Personal Document registered with Shinhan Finance is a chip-based ID and has registered biometrical information but the validity period of this ID is about to expire, please select one of the following options:
- Option 1: Send a copy or image of 02 sides of the latest chip-based ID card to update information with confirmation letter (attached file) to the Customer Service Center via email [email protected]
- Option 2: Log in the iShinhan application, on the main screen, click the 3 dashes icon and select "Tôi muốn" > "Thay đổi thông tin" > "Chứng minh nhân dân" and follow as the instructions in app.
Note: Since January 1, 2025:
- If you have not updated your biometrical information promptly, you will not be able to perform online transactions on your credit cards. Payment transactions for goods and services at POS and cash withdrawals at ATMs are still allowed to be carried out normally.
- If you have not updated the new validity period of personal documents, you can not make any transactions on your credit cards.
