Shinhan Finance launches iShinhan 5.0 – A comprehensive, user-friendly, and secure digital financial platform.

Ho Chi Minh City, February 3rd, 2025 – Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd. (Shinhan Finance), recognized as Vietnam’s Best Sustainable Consumer Finance Company in 2020 (1), has officially introduced the new 5.0 version of its digital financial platform, iShinhan (2). Since the initial launch of the iShinhan mobile app in 2020, this marks a comprehensive transformation and upgrade - not only revamping the entire interface but also enhancing services, expanding utilities, and integrating cutting-edge technology solutions. The new version promises to deliver a seamless, user-friendly, and secure digital financial experience for Shinhan Finance customers. Version 5.0 has been in pilot testing since December 20, 2024, and has received widespread positive feedback from users.

Experience flexible and seamless multi-service financial solutions with just one touch

The iShinhan app offers existing features for new customers, such as applying for personal loans or credit cards, alongside an e-KYC solution for identity verification. The upgraded iShinhan 5.0 enhances security by integrating biometric authentication and information verification, compliant with regulatory requirements. Customers can simply tap their citizen identification (citizen ID) on NFC (Near Field Communications) -enabled phones to access these services. The process of setting up loan or credit card applications has also been streamlined, ensuring maximum convenience for customers to manage their credit needs independently.

The standout feature of iShinhan 5.0 is its integration with Google Pay for virtual credit card payments via NFC technology. Customers can make contactless payments using their Android smartphones without carrying a physical card or cash. Additionally, credit cardholders can withdraw up to 100% of their credit limit with a cash withdrawal code generated in the iShinhan 5.0.

The iShinhan 5.0 also integrates with Payoo, enabling customers to pay utility bills and access a wide range of other services through diverse payment methods.

Enhanced customer benefits through OneShinhan ecosystem and trusted partners

iShinhan 5.0 introduces customers to a range of financial services within the One Shinhan ecosystem, a leading financial network from Korea. These services include life insurance provided by Shinhan Life Vietnam and securities services offered by Shinhan Securities. Additionally, the iShinhan 5.0 platform curates and showcases a trusted partners’ network of Shinhan Finance, encompassing products such as motorcycles, consumer electronics, and smartphones. Soon, this will expand to include renowned automobile showrooms network. Through this initiative, Shinhan Finance aims to deliver added value to users via exclusive offers and promotions specifically tailored for Shinhan Finance customers on iShinhan 5.0.
