Shinhan Finance Employees Actively Participate in the Blood Donation Event in Ho Chi Minh City

Continuing the journey of “Empowering the Community,” on April 2, Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd. (Shinhan Finance), in collaboration with the District 1 Labor Federation, successfully organized the first phase of the 2025 blood donation event. The event took place at the District 1 Cultural Center, No. 06 Mac Dinh Chi Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The initiative attracted hundreds of Shinhan Finance employees, contributing 91 blood units to support patients in need and replenish the city's hospital blood reserves.

According to the National Steering Committee, the beginning of the year is often a peak period for infectious diseases, leading to a significant increase in the demand for blood reserves. In response, the 2025 voluntary blood donation campaign aims to collect approximately 1.85 million blood units, with a national blood donation rate of 1.9%. Answering this call, Shinhan Finance, in collaboration with the District 1 Labor Federation, has launched Shinhan Finance Blood donation event. From now until the end of the year, Shinhan Finance will continue partnering with various organizations to extend this meaningful initiative, bringing hope and life-saving support to patients in need across the country.

Blood donation has long been regarded as a noble activity, reflecting social responsibility and compassion among individuals. Over the past 6 years, through various donation drives, Shinhan Finance Blood donation event initiative has contributed more than 1,330 blood units (equivalent to 355,000 ml) to support patients undergoing treatment at local hospitals. This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to the program’s widespread impact, helping to ensure a stable blood supply for emergency care and medical treatment.

Shinhan Finance hopes that the blood units donated today will help alleviate local blood shortages for medical treatment. Through this effort, we stand alongside doctors and healthcare professionals in the fight to save lives, bringing hope and optimism to patients and their families.

Present at the blood donation event, Ms. Bui Thi Thuy Linh, an employee who has been part of this initiative for six years, shared: "With each year of participation, I feel the profound value of giving even more deeply. The moment I see the blood bags being received, I know that somewhere, a life is being sustained, and a new hope is being ignited. That realization makes me cherish this meaningful activity and strengthens my commitment to it. To spread the spirit of sharing and giving, I also encourage my family members to join. So far, my daughter and I have donated blood together three times."

In addition to blood donation activities, over the years, Shinhan Finance has continually spread love through meaningful charitable programs such as " “Fulfil your dream and happiness” program, the Good Hallyu project, and the CSR Harmony community engagement series.

As we step into 2025, Shinhan Finance will continue to expand its community initiatives across the country. In March, Shinhan Finance successfully organized a CSR Harmony activity in Phu Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province. In April, the company will continue with two other impactful activities at Hai Phong Pulmonary Tuberculosis Hospital and Yen Khuong Primary School in Thanh Hoa.
