Shinhan Finance Presents 150 School Supply Gift Sets to Students at Mai Lam Primary School – Thanh Hoa
On the morning of May 26, 2025, Shinhan Finance held a charity event at Mai Lam Primary School (Mai Lam, Tinh Gia District, Thanh Hoa Province), where 150 gift sets containing school supplies were distributed to underprivileged students. The activity was part of the Good Hallyu project – a corporate social responsibility initiative launched by Shinhan Card (Korea) in collaboration with GFoundation, and currently implemented in Vietnam by Shinhan Finance.
Each gift set included essential school items such as pens, notebooks, pencil cases, and other basic learning tools to support students in their daily studies. Some items were also selected to assist with extracurricular activities and talent development clubs at the school, helping students enhance both their academic performance and soft skills.

During the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Luong – Principal of Mai Lam Primary School – expressed her appreciation and gratitude: “These meaningful gifts not only provide practical support for our students’ education but also serve as a great source of encouragement for them to overcome difficulties. The school truly values the goodwill that Shinhan Finance has brought to our rural community.”

Good Hallyu is a cultural initiative combined with corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities led by Korean enterprises abroad, aiming to promote sustainable values and support local communities. The project is initiated by Shinhan Card (Korea) and GFoundation and has been implemented in various countries around the world, including Vietnam.
In Vietnam, since 2019, the project has delivered over 2,000 gift sets to children in need across various provinces, helping to spread the spirit of sharing, raise community awareness, and provide underprivileged students with better access to learning resources.

Also in Thanh Hoa, on April 25, Shinhan Finance, Cau Giay Branch brought love and care to the border-area school of Yen Khuong Primary School. The program delivered 100 gift sets including textbooks, notebooks and school supplies directly to students in difficult circumstances.
In the time ahead, Shinhan Finance will remain committed to community-driven social initiatives, in line with our promise:
“Building a better world through the power of finance” – aiming to improve quality of life, create positive value, and contribute to a more prosperous future for the people of Vietnam.
