Warning: Scam Attempts Impersonating Shinhan Finance Employees Sending Malicious Links to Customers

Recently, some individuals have illegally used the name and branding of Shinhan Finance to create groups on platforms such as Zalo and Facebook, then added users to these groups without their consent. These groups often have misleading names such as “Shinhan Finance Support,” “Shinhan Finance Loan,” etc.

Fraudsters impersonate Shinhan Finance employees to lure users in these groups and send malicious links.

Once users are added to the group, the scammers use fake accounts posing as Shinhan Finance employees to approach them. In addition, other impersonators act as “decoys” pretending to be customers to build trust. These individuals instruct customers to click on fake links for the purpose of:

Stealing personal information (ID card, bank account, OTP, etc.)

Installing spyware on devices

Tricking customers into transferring money or providing sensitive data

These actions not only violate the law but also cause significant financial loss to customers and damage to Shinhan Finance’s reputation.

Customers are advised to stay alert and carefully verify any invitations to join groups or click on suspicious links. Stop all communication and immediately report to the authorities if you suspect or detect fraudulent behavior.
