Shinhan Finance supports students in need in Ca Mau on their back-to-school journey

On September 5, at Do Thua Luong Primary School (An Xuyen Ward, Ca Mau), Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Limited (Shinhan Finance) - District 5 Branch organized the charity program “Spreading love, nurturing the future”. The activity aimed to encourage disadvantaged students and accompany them on their educational journey.

As part of the program, Shinhan Finance presented 100 gift sets, including backpacks, notebooks, and school supplies, to underprivileged but hardworking students. These gifts, though modest in value, carried a meaningful message: to inspire confidence, bring joy to learning, and reassure students that the community always stands by their side.

The representative of Shinhan Finance said, “We hope this program not only brings joy to the students on their first school day but also encourages their passion for learning and strengthens their belief in the future. Shinhan Finance will continue to stand by the community to ensure that the students’ learning journey is always meaningful and fulfilling.”

A lasting journey of sharing

The program is part of the Harmony community initiative that Shinhan Finance has been implementing for many years. In 2025, the company has delivered 135 gift sets of books and school supplies to children in Binh Duong and the Vietnam - Laos border area in Thanh Hoa Province. In Da Nang, 42 new bicycles along with books were also handed to disadvantaged students at Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School.

Shinhan Finance continues to carry out other meaningful initiatives including “Fulfil your dream and happiness” - 64 bookshelves with over 24,600 children’s books have been donated to 11 provincial libraries nationwide fostering a love of reading and expanding knowledge for children. Good Hallyu Project initiated by Shinhan Card (parent company) and implemented by Shinhan Finance in Vietnam; this project has provided 2,000 sets of school supplies to children at SOS Children’s Villages across the country.
