Shinhan Finance named among the best companies to work for in Asia 2020 by HR Asia

Ho Chi Minh City, July 1st 2020 - Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Limited (Shinhan Finance) has been named one of The Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2020 by HR Asia, one of Asia's leading publications for HR professionals.

Shinhan Finance has been carefully selected by HR Asia through a strict evaluation process. The first step is the external research on the reputation of the companies with outstanding working environment conducted by the Research Department of HR Asia. The second step is the internal survey named Total Engagement Assessment model for 50 full time employees to measure the engagement level in the workforce. In addition, HR Asia conducted in-depth assessment with Head of Human Resources of the company to understand HR strategy & practices. Finally, the HR Asia Judging Panel and the Research Department evaluated the collected data and decided the winners.

In addition, the experts from HR Asia were convinced by the various activities to create positive total experience for Shinhan Finance’s employees, especially training/development and employee engagement activities. Training and development activities focus in 3 pillars: Personal Development, Technical Skills, Leadership Development. At Shinhan Finance, self-learning is encouraged via e-learning platform, library, book exchange, sponsorship for foreign languages and professional certificates. Employee engagement is also identified as one of the top business priorities. As such, Employee Engagement Survey is regularly conducted to get employees’ input and feedbacks to build Shinhan Finance a great place to work.

In 2020, HR Asia has implemented the award across 12 markets in Asia, including Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Middle East, Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

In Vietnam, 308 companies were nominated and participated in the evaluation process. Finally, 66 companies have been named as the best companies to work for in Asia 2020, including Shinhan Finance.
