Shinhan Finance employees donate blood at the urgent need in HCMC

Ho Chi Minh city, 06/3/2020 – Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Limited (Shinhan Finance) announces that amid the COVID-19 outbreak, its Senior management team, employees and sales agents have responses to calls for blood donation as the city face severe blood shortages by organizing a volunteering blood donation event in Ho Chi Minh city, where we contributed hundred bags of blood.

Held at a Shinhan Finance branch at Pico Plaza, it was jointly organized by the Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital (BTH), Shinhan Finance and Shinhan Finance Trade Union, a group which works to help facilitate blood donation event.

Shinhan Finance has started its blood donation events scheduled for the year, making it easy for Shinhan Finance staff and public audiences to contribute regularly with hundreds of volunteers coming together for a noble cause.

Shinhan Finance is one of the first companies proactively approached BTH for blood donation event when the city in the urgent need. Almost 50 lit of blood have been donated by Shinhan Finance employees for the first batch.

Many of them are used to be permanent donors, who view giving blood every few months as a routine part of their lives. Shinhan Finance employees have received most of the basic information about the benefits of giving blood and was especially intrigued by the fact that one bag of blood can save up to three lives.

As a volunteering staff, Ms. Thuy Linh shared that “I was especially proud and happy to be a part of Shinhan Finance family when we can collect hundreds of blood bags from one event. I think our Shinhan Finance blood donor family’ at Corona outbreak period is so daring, with so many of our employees willing to give. And the effort is not finished yet! We hope that there’s much more to come from other companies and volunteers during this time.” she said.
