Shinhan Finance contributes children books to Tien Giang Province Library
Ho Chi Minh City, 04.09.2020 – Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd., (Shinhan Finance), which was recognized and named The Best Sustainability Development Company Vietnam 2020*, announced its book project which contributed 2818 new children books to Tien Giang Province library, which are in need of more good-quality books for the local children. These books were recommended and supplied by Kim Dong, the largest publisher and distributor of children's books in Vietnam.
To date, the Project has been to 5 libraries across Vietnam, donated 32 new book shelves with more than 13,000 books and decorated 5 reading rooms, including Nam Dinh, Thua Thien Hue, Bac Giang, Hanoi and Tien Giang public libraries.
In the third consecutive year of this project themed “Fulfil Your Dreams And Happiness”, which is extended to promote active reading among Vietnamese children, it continues to support the company’s commitment to advocate literacy and a reading culture to better equip the future generation.
In Vietnam, children are keen to read text-books for academic reasons than reading books outside the school syllabus. The importance of enhancing the accessibility of books in the public libraries and providing a variety of contents are often highlighted to promote active reading as a powerful tool to encourage children to pick up and finish a book themselves.

After Nam Dinh, Thua Thien Hue, Bac Giang and Hanoi, Tien Giang is the fifth location we invested in more good books for Vietnamese children. We are still on the way to bring this up at national scope.”

At the same day, Shinhan Finance received the Certificate of Appreciation by Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, No. 177/QĐ-SVHTTDL issued on August 18th 2020 for the company’s support to local Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as Tien Giang Province library.
To better support the local business, we have recently expanded our business in Tien Giang Province, marking further growth for the brand in the southern region. Shinhan Finance had recruited more local talents to prepare for the opening of its first service introduction point (S.I.P.) in Tien Giang Province at No. 1A, Tet Mau Than Street, Ward 4, My Tho City. They will all be able to better serve the evolving needs of its valued customers in the South of Vietnam. Those offices will be offering the same products and high-quality services that customers have come to expect of the company from the reputation it has built over the past 13 years.
