Shinhan Card donates school supplies in Vietnam

Shinhan Card is the dominant number one credit card business in Korea – has gone through its local subsidiary Shinhan Finance to donate school supplies to Vietnam children.

In the framework of Shinhan Card’s global "Good Hallyu Project", Shinhan Finance has kicked off the activity of donating 200 sets of school supplies in Mekong delta and other regions in Vietnam. Donations included writing supplies (color pencils, crayons, highlighters, etc.), books, face masks and backpacks.

Schools and organizations throughout Vietnam which directly benefitted from Shinhan Card’s School Supply Project include:

• Thanh Loi Primary and Secondary School (Ben Luc, Long An province)
• Dao Thanh Primary School (My Tho, Tien Giang province)
• And other youth unions

"Our School Supply Project represents just one more way in which Shinhan Finance gives back to the communities we serve,” says Oh Taejoon – Deputy CEO of Shinhan Finance. “Especially now, with uncertainty and change in the learning environments – to give students a backpack and supplies for learning helps them feel cared for and seen by the community. School supplies may be a small part but are supportive for learning and well beings. We are honored to contribute.”
