Shinhan Finance employees donate blood at the urgent need

In response to the call from Vietnam Red Cross Society for blood donation in severe blood scarcity situation, Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Limited (Shinhan Finance) employees and sales agents actively participated the volunteering day in Ho Chi Minh (01/11/2021) and Ha Noi (12/11/2021), where we contributed nearly 300 bags of blood.

The event was held safely and successfully in Ho Chi Minh City with the organization of the People's Committee of Ward 12, Tan Binh District, Shinhan Finance and Shinhan Finance Trade Union, at the Pico Plaza, 20 Cong Hoa street. In addition to Shinhan Finance employees and sales agents, the event attracted the participation from their families as well as local residents.

It was also carried out in Hanoi on 12/11/2021 at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion – Pham Van Bach street, Yen Hoa ward, Cau Giay district, with the participation of Shinhan Finance employees and sales agents.

The organizers strictly implemented the blood donation process in accordance with 5K rules, maintaining the principles of COVID-19 prevention with a total of 300 volunteers providing more than 91,000ml of blood.

Many safety precautions have been put in place by the organizers to ensure safety during the event, making volunteers feel more secure when directly engaging in blood donation. The volunteers, in particular, overcame their fear of the pandemic to promote the noble spirit of humanity, promptly added to the reserve blood bank, and pioneered in reducing people’s fear of the sickness. Each donation can save up to three lives and takes less than an hour to donate.

Blood donation is the opportunity for Shinhan Finance contributing realistic support to the community with Compassionate Finance spirit. This community supporting activity of Shinhan Finance becomes regular with hundreds of volunteers coming together for the hope and lives of many patients.
