Shinhan Finance donates 500 gift sets for children in Vietnam
Hanoi, 18th July 2022, at The National Fund for Vietnamese Children Office, Shinhan Finance on behalf of Shinhan Card donates 500 gift sets for The National Fund For Vietnamese Children supported by Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam cum President of The National Fund For Vietnamese Children.
The donation ceremony is witnessed by the Board of Director of The National Fund For Vietnamese Children, Representatives of Steve Bui & Friends Foundation Vietnam and Representatives of Shinhan Finance.
As a part of Shinhan Card’s The Global "Good Hallyu Project, Shinhan Finance collaborates with Steve Bui & Friends Foundation – a charity fund in Vietnam to donates 250 sanitation kits and 250 K-culture kits to The National Fund For Vietnamese Children. This time, the program will focus on teenage girls to raise the awareness of gender and sexual health education. The donation aims to better children’s lives in rural area, contributing to make Vietnamese future generation more healthy, confident, and brilliant.
The Good Hallyu Project is a cultural program in connection with the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of private corporates having overseas offices, aiming to contribute to developing countries and creating shared values in the context of sustainability. This is the third year, Shinhan Card implemented The Good Hallyu Project through its local subsidiary Shinhan Finance in Viet Nam. In the first year, Shinhan Card sent 200 gift sets including pens, books, facemasks, and backpacks for students in Mekong Delta and other regions in Vietnam. Recently, Shinhan Finance also represented Shinhan Card to donate 405 children books to An Giang Library with the purpose of encourage local children to form their active reading habits, contributing to enhance education of the region.
Sharing about this project, Mr. Oh Taejoon – General Director of Shinhan Finance said: “For the purpose of contributing to improving health and life standards of future generation of children in rural areas, we are honored to collab with Steve Bui and Friends Foundation to donates the meaningful gifts to The National Fund For Vietnamese Children. We hope to help the children and their parents pay more attention to taking care of their health and practice essential skillset, especially those who live in rural area that lacks of good infrastructure.”
