Shinhan Finance contributes children’s books to Nghe An Province Library
Nghe An Province, 15 March 2023 – Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd., (Shinhan Finance), which was recognized and named The Best Sustainability Development Company Vietnam 2020*, announced its book project which contributed 2.625 new children books from Kim Dong Publisher to Nghe An province library, which are in need of better-quality books for the local children. These books were recommended and supplied by Kim Dong, the largest publisher and distributor of children's books in Vietnam.
Aligned with the Shinhan ESG’s mission (Environmental – Social – Governance): “Do the right thing for a Wonderful World”, since 2018, Shinhan Finance has kicked off the Book Donation Project under the theme “Fulfil Your Dreams And Happiness”. This is the investment for the future, contributing to develop the smart and successful Vietnam heirs through encouraging the active reading habits. To date, the Project has been to 11 libraries across Vietnam, donated 64 new bookshelves with nearly 24.625 books and decorated 11 reading rooms, including: Nam Dinh, Thua Thien Hue, Bac Giang, Tien Giang, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Dong Nai, An Giang, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh public libraries and recently is Nghe An Province Library. Creative reading room, richly illustrated books have contributed to increasing reading inspiration for children in the provinces.
Currently, students often access knowledge mainly through textbooks, with little time and opportunities to access diverse books and different knowledge outside of school. Therefore, investing in a bookcase with a variety of books on a variety of topics, suitable for young people's awareness, at a public library will attract attention and practice active reading skills, helping to get rich. Knowledge, thinking development and emotional intelligence in children, preferably when they voluntarily choose books to read, read carefully, read fully, and read more times. Therefore, Shinhan Finance has chosen to accompany the Provincial Libraries to bring the " Fulfil Your Dreams And Happiness " to young readers.

After Nam Dinh, Thua Thien Hue, Bac Giang, Tien Giang, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Dong Nai, An Giang, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Nghe An is the eleventh locations we invested in more good books for Vietnamese children. We are still on the way to bring this up nationwide.”

At the same day, Shinhan Finance received the Certificate of Appreciation by Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports for the company’s support to local Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as Nghe An province library.
