Message from General Director on the occasion of SVFC's 4th anniversary celebration
Dear our valued Customers and Partners,
Since its introduction to the Vietnamese consumer finance market, Shinhan Finance has consistently provided quality consumer financial services, constantly striving to improve technology to better serve customers and contribute to the community through meaningful charitable programs.
Besides, in the past year, Shinhan Finance has swiftly implemented activities related to the Environment - Society - Governance (ESG) standards, aiming for sustainable development not only in our business model but also towards the community and society. These are also key factors that the Shinhan Financial Group and its parent company, Shinhan Card, prioritize and consider of utmost importance in the current phase.
In line with the ESG principles and direction, Shinhan Finance is steadfast in implementing the three main pillars, namely: Environment (E), Society (S), and Governance (G). We are implementing multiple goals and plans related to ESG in order to: Lead in environmental friendliness in finance; Enhance transparency, diversity and fairness in corporate governance; Spread value and positive impact on the community. By incorporating ESG principles into all activities, especially in the development of "eco" and sustainable financial products, Shinhan Finance will soon introduce a financial support product specifically designed for Vietnamese workers in Korea. This is one of the products developed by Shinhan Finance based on ESG ideas, contributing to providing financial support for tens of thousands of Vietnamese workers who go to Korea each year and approximately 270,000 people who stay in the country, allowing them to work with peace of mind and focus on creating positive values for themselves, their families, and society. We will also intensify our digital transformation efforts to better serve our customers.
Since officially bearing the Shinhan Finance brand, the Company has expanded its business network to 10 branches and 26 service introduction points, with over 6,000 employees, business partners, and serving the financial needs of over 1 million customers nationwide. Shinhan Finance has also introduced numerous new products, services and expanded collaborations with partners from various industries, aiming to meet the diverse needs of customers. In addition, we have also implemented a series of community programs such as "Fulfill Your Dreams and happiness", "Good Hallyu", "Humanitarian Blood Donation", etc. With the "Fulfill Your Dreams and happiness" journey, we have successfully carried out activities in 11 provinces and cities in Vietnam, distributing 64 bookshelves, 24.625 children's books, and renovating 11 children's reading rooms in provincial and city libraries. Every year, Shinhan Finance on behalf of Shinhan Card donates thousands of gifts, including study tools and healthcare items, to students facing difficulties in many provinces of Vietnam. In parallel, the Company collaborates with organizations and associations to organize the humanitarian blood donation campaign contributing nearly 700 blood units to patients undergoing treatment at local hospitals nationwide.
Leveraging the solid foundation we have built, Shinhan Finance will accompany customers in "make the brighter future" by providing “eco” and sustainable financial solutions and engaging in community activities. Especially on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the Shinhan Finance brand's introduction to the Vietnamese market, we would like to express our gratitude to customers with a token of appreciation, which comes in the form of special benefits when utilizing Shinhan Finance services.
